  • The Production Manager is responsible for leading and managing the production operations within the cosmetics manufacturing facility. This includes overseeing the production of cosmetics products, maintaining high-quality standards, ensuring the safety of production operations, and meeting the company’s production targets. The role involves strategic planning, staff management, and continuous improvement efforts.

    1. Production Planning & Management:

    ·        Monitor production lines to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality.

    ·        Optimize resource usage (materials, labour, equipment) to minimize waste and reduce costs.

    ·        Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and legal regulations.

    ·        Coordinate with other departments (e.g., R&D, Quality Control, Marketing) to ensure smooth production flow.

    ·        Assume overall responsibility for the site outside office hours

    2. Quality Control & Compliance:

    ·        Oversee the quality control procedures, ensuring products meet all cosmetic industry standards and regulations.

    ·        Perform routine inspections and audits of the production process to ensure consistency in product quality.

    ·        Address any quality issues and implement corrective actions to maintain high standards.

    3. Team Leadership & Staff Management:

    ·        Lead and supervise production teams, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.

    ·        Provide training and guidance to staff on safe operating procedures and production best practices.

    ·        Set performance goals for team members and conduct regular performance evaluations.

    ·        Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment.

    4. Cost Control & Budgeting:

    ·        Manage production costs and work within budgetary constraints.

    ·        Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality and production efficiency.

    ·        Analyse production data and trends to forecast future needs and adjust production accordingly.

    5. Maintenance & Equipment Management:

    ·        Ensure all machinery and production equipment are properly maintained and functioning optimally.

    ·        Coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs and preventive maintenance.

    6. Continuous Improvement:

    ·        Implement lean manufacturing practices and encourage innovation to improve production processes.

    ·        Lead efforts to increase productivity, reduce downtime, and minimize defects.

    ·        Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements that can enhance production.

    • Bachelor's degree in Production Management, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or related field is preferred

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role within the manufacturing industry.

    • Leadership skills with experience managing and motivating a diverse team.

    • Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and multitasking abilities.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Proficient in using production management software and other tools.

    • Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma is preferred

    • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is preferred

    • Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)

    Please note that this role will require the availability to work varying shifts

PRODUCTION manager - Filling Hal

regulatory coordinator

  • The role of the Regulatory Coordinator is to provide regulatory administration and support to the wider business, supporting the Head of Regulatory and Regulatory Chemist on all aspects of regulatory requirements.

    • Ownership of technical database, ensuring formulation and ingredient information is accurate and up to date at all times.

    • Support with production of regulatory and technical/Export documentation as required.

    • Management of all technical aspects of our raw material portfolio, ensuring documentation, pricing and information is kept up to date on the system.

    • Management of information transfer from technical database to live manufacturing system.

    • 1st line of contact for customer queries regarding regulatory issues/questions.

    • Compilation and maintenance of Product information files ( PIF).

    • Submission of products onto SCNP and CPNP.

    • Manage CPSR and challenge testing for all developments as required.

    • Support with Artwork approval process.

    • Generation of MSDS for finished products as required.

    • Support with technical reports on ingredients such as annual usage, regulatory reporting, % natural, cruelty free international or vegan society reporting

    • Responsible for obtaining raw material samples as requested by the development team, supporting with pricing and documentation.

    • Responsible for ensuring relevant ingredients are flagged for incoming QC inspection on the systems, and that C of As are checked for all incoming raw materials

    • Seek out and implement efficiency opportunities in the regulatory and admin process.

    • Monitor, track and report on regulatory and admin KPIs.

    • Support with training the wider technical team on the technical database

    • Provide cover for the other roles within the regulatory and admin team when required

    • Knowledge of UK/EU cosmetic regulations.

    • Knowledge of technical database systems, excel.

    • Strong attention to detail, accurate record keeping, project tracking and KPI measurement.
